    How does shutter stock work?

Shutterstock pays a set fee to photographers for each image that is licensed. This is established in the contract that the photographer signs prior to uploading images. Other microstocks pay based on the size of the image licensed or on a photographer ranking system (higher level photographers are paid more etc.)
